About Me

My name is Ben Belcher: I’ve been a HCPC-registered OT and ACT practitioner for the past 6 years. I have my own unique experience with neurodiversity as a dyslexic, with traits of autism and dyspraxia, and have been dedicated to helping nurodivergents discover and work with their superpower, not just simply adapt around their struggles.

Nurodivergents often struggle to cope in the 9-5 conventional way of working, adapting to fit into a world they struggle to conform to.

This leads to many nurodivergents wishing they could leave the 9-5 workplace to become entrepreneurs. Yet even after they take the leap, they can easily become exhausted, burnt out, and overwhelmed, all while desperate not to return to the corporate world.

Mirror Mind Therapy invites you to drop the struggle and work with the unique gifts of your mind rather than against them, within a like-minded community.

 

Nurodivergents are 30% more likely to experience burnout on average because:

At Mirror Mind Therapy, we see challenges, triggers, and moments of resistance as mirrors, showing you the parts of you that you have suppressed and pushed away and are quietly asking for more safety, capacity, and freedom. Moments of social anxiety, self-doubt, or hesitation aren’t signs that something is wrong with you. They’re signals inviting you to turn within and allow your internal experience. True confidence isn’t something you fix or force; it emerges naturally when your nervous system becomes regulated and flexible to your internal and external world, rather than reactive and rigid.

In our 1-to-1 sessions, we work directly with the three pillars of Mirror Mind Therapy in a tailored and client-centred manner to meet your own unique needs. Through embodiment work, changing your relationship with your inner experience, and parts work, we dissolve low self-worth and anxiety at its root, rather than managing it. This isn’t about consuming more information, learning psychological hacks, or performing a role; it’s about teaching your body that it’s safe to be your authentic self. As you stop resisting your internal experience, confidence stops being something you try to project and becomes something others feel naturally in your presence.

Join us every Tuesday (7pm) and Sunday (11am) for our weekly online Mirror Mind Meditation Sessions

These weekly sessions offer a safe container for like-minded neurodiverse professionals to share their experiences and truly switch off. Within this weekly container, we use guided meditation, breathwork, and somatic movement to release accumulated stress and subconscious emotional patterns that keep men stuck in fight-or-flight. Most daily stress is suppressed and carried forward, quietly eroding confidence, health, and capacity for connection. These sessions offer a consistent practice to discharge that load, reset your nervous system, and reconnect with your body.

Mirror Mind Monthly Net-Walking Sessions (£35)

These monthly in-person workshops are designed for neurodiverse professionals and entrepreneurs who want to connect more deeply with their own tribe and are committed to becoming the most grounded and authentic version of themselves. Building on the foundations of the weekly online meditation groups, these sessions create a powerful space for real-world integration and a sense of belonging. Being in the room with like-minded men and women accelerates growth, as shared intention and attuned connection act as a strong regulating force in themselves.

Each workshop starts with a walk through the new forest, allowing space to network, connect with nature and ground yourself. The workshops include live integration work through functional breathwork and somatic model work, alongside deeper experiential drills designed to give you full permission to experience and express your neurodivergent quirks in a safe container. We work directly with your values, accepting your inner experience, cultivating boundaries and forming a deeply compassionate connection with the world around you. These sessions aren’t about pushing past struggles, but expanding your internal capacity to experience more meaning from life and get in touch with your unique superpower.

Being neurodivergent can mean moving through a world that often focuses on what needs to be fixed, rather than what makes you different in a powerful way. But the truth is that many neurodivergent people carry extraordinary strengths. In the right environments, the ways your mind adapts, connects ideas, and experiences the world can become a genuine source of creativity, insight, resilience, and leadership. When those strengths go unnamed, it is easy to believe life is simply harder for you. This course is here to help you see yourself differently.

This course invites you to turn inward with curiosity, compassion, and honesty. You will learn to understand your inner world more deeply, meet your challenges with greater self-acceptance, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that have always deserved care, respect, and room to thrive.

The Cost Behind the Mask We Wear

So much of what we do and why we behave the way we behave is due to trying to feel good and avoid feeling bad. Logically, this sounds like a positive outlook to have. The problem comes in because the majority of what we do revolves around avoiding negative feelings that we have experienced in the past.                                                              

However, these feelings that we have experienced don’t simply go away. They become stored in the body. Each time they try to come up, we suppress, numb or distract ourselves to push them back down. This can happen for so long that we end up automatically suppressing feelings we don’t even know are there. 

The energy that this ultimately costs us is huge. It completely limits our engagement in the tasks we find meaningful and fulfilling, because we’re spending half our energy trying to suppress how we feel, meaning we are only half engaged in whatever else we are doing.  

 

When we learn to allow, observe, and befriend our suppressed feelings, it becomes possible to choose healthier habits, create supportive routines, and move through life with greater ease. This internal shift of allowing our internal experience, rather than suppressing it, naturally improves emotional well-being, physical health, motivation, relationships, and our overall perception of what’s possible.

For many of my clients, the results have been profound.
When they finally allow and release stored emotional tension and unhelpful patterns held in the body, they often experience:

  • a surge in self-belief

  • renewed motivation

  • meaningful changes in daily habits

  • improved mental and physical well-being

  • a more hopeful and empowered outlook

  • deeper, healthier relationships

This creates an upward spiral, stronger self-belief leads to more aligned action, which leads to more internal regulation.

I call this turning point mental freedom.
